Abstract:

This DOT sponsored report is a compilation of Dutch research projects addressing pedestrian safety. The annotated bibliography separated the literature into six categories of pedestrian issues: Pedestrian crossings; Traffic calming measures; Children; Elderly pedestrians; Disabled pedestrian; and Cars’ front impact requirements. While the reviews made most of the studies look promising, the literature mentioned was from the early and mid-90’s, so it may no longer be relevant or available.
