Abstract:

This paper studied the relationship of the design of walking infrastructure on the pedestrian. Although a number of interesting combinations of conditions were proposed, only three concerning bottlenecks were evaluated. The total study would have been useful in the design of sidewalks, but as presented in this paper, it will be of little use.
